August 24-3, 2009

Monday- Steady 11 km with Steph, Katie, and Bronwan. Leslie felt really good, whereas Laura did not.

Tuesday- Today we both did an easy 8 km and core.

Wednesday- Tempo intervals workout. Laura felt good, Leslie felt okay.

Thursday- We both did and easy 10 km and core. Leslie felt pretty good, Lauras anckle has been bothering her.

Friday- Today we went to the Y.M.C.A. to play some badminton for cross-training.

Saturday- We did 2 sets of tempos, and some speed work. Leslie felt pretty good through most of it. It took her a while to get going but then she felt good. Laura felt okay.

Sunday- We did an easy 8 km and core, along with swimming in the lake on and off all day.

June 22- 28, 2009

Monday- BIO EXAM. We did a steady 8 km.

Tuesday- Leslie's ECONOMICS EXAM. We both biked for an hour and did core.

Wednesday- RCLDS #4 3000m. Felt hard but fast. Leslie had a good pb.

Thursday- Today we both did an easy 8 km and core.

Friday- London Runner campfire at Emily's cottage and easy 6 km.

Saturday- Laura thought it was the "best workout ever". Focus was on 1 000m repeats, followed by Texas strides. Also went to Toronto to watch Senior Nationals with Steve.

Sunday- Today we both ran an easy 7 km and followed it with core.

June 8-14, 2009

Monday- For x-training we played an hour of badminton, and we also did core.

Tuesday- RCLDS #3: 1 500m. Leslie had a PB and she was very excited bout that, and Laura was pleased about her race.

Wednesday- Today we did core and an hour long bike ride.

Thursday- We did a lot of pace work at the workout today. We were both tired but happy with how it went.

Friday- Today we found out that there is a mother and baby black bear living in our neighbourhood. Laura ran her 5 km in town and Leslie ran it at home because apparently no one felt the need to tell her about the bears!

Saturday- Today both Laura and Leslie ran in town; 6 km together.

Sunday- ON Juniors. Leslie and Katie were pacing for Laura in the 3000m. It went well. Leslie got a PB and Laura ran a good race. We were also in the 4x800m with Emily and Katie. It was a lot of fun.

June 1-7, 2009

Mon June 1- We both ran a steady 9 km. I felt relly good, but I was pretty sore afterwards.

Tues June 2- We both did core exercises and biked for an hour.

Wed June 3- RCLDS#2 meet. We ran an 800m and a 4 x 400m. I PBd by about 15 seconds in the 800m, which I was very happy with. Leslie also PBd and was happy with her race. Our 4x4 team won & set a new meet record! We had A LOT of fun!

Thurs June 4- We had A LOT of homework tonight so we didn't do core exercises. We did however run 10km.

Fri June 5- We drove to Tornonto to watch OFSAA today. My legs are SORE, so I skipped my run today, same with Leslie. We had TONS of fun and realy enjoyed watching the races.

Sat June 6- Hard practice today; it was 800m repeats, which we aren't used to. My times weren't very good. Our prom was later today, so we had fun with that.

Sun June 7- We didn't get much sleep last night, but we went on a 10km run today as well as doing core exercises.

May 25-31, 2009

Monday- Leslie did an easy 6 km today and Laura went on an easy 10 km.

Tuesday- Both Laura and Leslie had a monster biology project and as a result were unable to do their core work for tonight.

Wednesday- Laura had an easy workout in preparation for Friday's race which consisted of a 20 min easy run with the others racing on Friday. Leslie did some tempo loops with a 3 min rest in between. We all did strides together at the end.

Thursday-Leslie went on an easy 4 km, while Laura did an easy 5km.

Friday- Laura's 1500m!!!! Laura thought it went okay. She was slightly disappointed even though she had no reason to be because she had a good race! Today Leslie went on an 8km run at home before going to watch Laura's 1500m OFSAA Regionals race in Kitchener.

Saturday- Laura and Leslie's 3000m!!! We both thought the race went fair. We took it our fast and that screwed us over a bit but we still had good times and a really good day!

Sunday- Both of us went on an hour long bike ride and did core.

May 18- May 24, 2009

Mon. May 18, 2009- I ran 10km while Leslie ran 6 km. We both felt good.
Tues. May 19, 2009- I biked for an hour and did core exercises, while Leslie just did core exercises.
Wed. May 20, 2009- We both ran an easy 5km, & got ready for wossaa tomorrow!
Thurs. May 21, 2009- It was pretty hot & windy today. We ran the 1500m, I got 3rd; I felt pretty good. The last two laps were pretty fast, and my time wasnt the best, but it was the fastest that Ive run this season. Leslie felt pretty good, she really liked the slower first couple laps. She got 7th.
Fri. May 22, 2009- The 3000m was today. I got 2nd and Leslie got 4th. Again, the first couple laps of this race were really slow, so there was a big lead pack. I guess that helps me to get used to running with people. And again, the last couple laps were pretty fast, but my overall time wasnt good. Leslie PBd, which she was very happy about.
Sat. May 22, 2009- I did some shorter stuff today, as I was pretty much just pacing. Leslie did 600s. After that, we did partner relays, which were a lot of fun! We both felt pretty tired today, but strong.
Sun. May 23, 2009- I went on an 8km run and did core exercises. Leslie also did core exercises, as well as biking for an hour.

May 11-17, 2009

Monday- Leslie went on an easy 6 km run, while Laura went on an easy 10 km.

Tuesday- 1st day of HURON PERTH: Leslie got 2nd, and Laura got 3rd in the 3000m. Both were some what disappointed with their results, but both felt fair after the race and realized that their pacing was what threw them off.

Wednesday- 2nd day of HURON PERTH: Laura got 1st, and Leslie got 2nd in the 1500m. Both were pleased with their results. It was extremely windy so their times wre short of desirable. Leslie felt extremely tired after her race.

Thursday- We both took today completely off.

Friday- Leslie and Laura both went on an easy 8 km. Leslie felt really good. Laura also did core.

Saturday- Laura found the workout to be shorter than usual. She felt good. Leslie also had a good workout. She feels tired yet strong.

Sunday- Laura ran 8 km, and we both did core.
